ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology for the Complementary Therapist (Geelong)

My interest in reflexology was originally due to my son’s poor health, as he has Cystic Fibrosis and Autism. For the first three years of his life he was exceptionally sick and had many lengthy hospital admissions. I was looking for “something” that may help him and yet could be used in conjunction with his on-going treatment. Around this time my massage therapist had mentioned reflexology and it’s benefits. She told me of a book called “Stories the Feet Can Tell” and suggested I borrow her copy to read. I did so reluctantly as I had a strong aversion to feet and could not imagine that would be the modality for me! (In hindsight, I think the aversion to feet was really another blocker, trying to “avert” me away from my path). As I read that book, I was intrigued and wanted to learn more.

Although I did not know it at the time, enrolling in the ASRR reflexology course was a life changing decision. I may have found reflexology for my son however it in turn helped me find myself. Reflexology illuminated something within me. I thoroughly enjoyed the course. The teachers and students provided a positive and supportive learning environment. Being a single working mum of three young boys, studying has been a challenge. Along the way both my son and I experienced some serious health problems which interrupted my studies but with the unwavering support of Lyn and all at ASRR I found the perseverance and commitment to continue.

To finally complete my studies and obtain my qualifications fills me with such a sense of achievement. It is so much more than a certificate. It reassures me that I am on the right path and has transformed me to be my authentic self. The satisfaction of giving a reflexology session is pure joy. Lyn- For your passion, vision, understanding and support, I wholeheartedly thank you. You are truly a beautiful soul. I would highly recommend ASRR to potential students as your school truly values the student and their individual journey.

I was at a point in my life where I needed change. My life and personal growth had stagnated, I craved a job that allowed me to grow and help people. I had a reflexology session a few years back and it really stood out. I attended the school’s open day not sure if it was really part of my life purpose however I persevered and released all doubts and well 18 months later I am now a qualified practitioner.

The course was fantastic and I am so grateful to all the people involved (staff & students). They each played a significant part in my learning experience and personal growth.

The course was very well organized and the teachers incorporate a wealth of knowledge that melded scientific and metaphysical teachings. The course covers every aspect required to be in the industry yourself. The teachers are very supportive and incorporate varied teaching methods to help you understand and learn the concepts. The course enabled me to break some barriers, learn more about myself & others and most importantly take a leap in my new direction of my life; helping to bring harmony & health to others through reflexology.
